I follow a lot of people on twitter, including Jessica Mills, who is best known for the webseries Awkward Embraces. (her mother, Deanie Mills is an insanely talented writer, worth checking out, by the way.) She tweeted about her new project, Damsels and Dragons ( tons of great info on this link, FYI) , which seems like a cool new webseries. A little about the project:
Our Story
You are called to adventure and glory…
An all girls Live Action Role Playing Group is forming.
First timers are welcome.
Darkness has befallen the land and only the brave stand a chance to hold the tide of evil at bay.
Join your sisters and plunge into a mystical world of magic and peril.
Draw your blade and prepare to jump into the adventure of your life…
… awaken your cunning
… call forth your inner power
… and summon your faith.
Your unforgettable journey with new friends begins.
Now.Damsels and Dragons is a fantasy action/comedy web series about an all-female LARP (LIVE ACTION ROLE PLAYING) group and their journey to defeat their rivals, The Bone Shards.
Damsels and Dragons is Produced, Written and Directed by well-known web talent:
Directed by Greg Aronowitz (Director of The Suit, Designer of The Guild, Dragonage: Redemption)
Co-Produced by America Young (Geek Therapy) and Jessica Mills (Awkward Embraces)
Written by Eric Collin Campbell (Geek Therapy, Connect To)
If that does not make you open up your wallet, I do not know what will. They need 25 000 dollars, and they have 59 days left. They have managed 1/10 so far, so I’m trying to spread the word. Jessica Mills is incredibly sweet, and the idea of the series seems cool enough. And when people who are involved with it has been involved with the Guild, I’m all for it. Contribute HERE!
